denis villeneuve’s Dune exchanges potentially overwhelming visual design with atmosphere and immersion, particularly through music and cinematographic decisions. While this scene of Duke Leto doesn’t contain the intensity or flair of later scenes with its more muted tones and somber cemetery setting, I thought it would be an interesting exercise to add vibrancy to the scene while not sacrificing or significantly altering its atmosphere or sense of location.
